Supervision is a professional service offered by a qualified and experienced clinician to social workers seeking licensure or advanced professional development. It involves regular meetings where the supervisor provides guidance, support, feedback, and continuous education to the supervisee, helping them develop their clinical skills, knowledge, and ethical practices in a safe and structured environment. Supervision is crucial to ensuring the quality of care provided by social workers and their ongoing professional growth.
-
Board supervision is typically for individuals who have completed their master's degree in social work and are working toward obtaining their LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license. In some states, such as Georgia, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia, board supervision is required for individuals seeking licensure as clinical social workers. Board supervision is provided by a qualified and experienced licensed clinical social worker who helps supervisees develop their clinical skills and knowledge, provides support and guidance, and helps ensure the requirements for licensure are met.

Mindful Counseling Services offers board supervision services to licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) in Georgia, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia. The supervision services include individual, dyadic, and group supervision, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for LCSWs to develop their clinical skills, meet licensure requirements, and enhance their professional growth. MCS supervision services are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each supervisee and are designed to promote an ethical, effective clinical practice.
1. Individual Supervision - one supervisor meeting with a single supervisee.
2. Dyadic Supervision - one supervisor with two supervisees.
3. Group Supervision - one supervisor meeting with a maximum of six supervisees (depending on the jurisdiction).
-
Individual Supervision - Provides more personalized attention and support to the supervisee, allowing for a focus on their specific needs and goals and creating a more comfortable and safe space for the supervisee to discuss sensitive or challenging cases.
Dyadic Supervision - Offers a balance between personalized attention and the opportunity to learn from another supervisee's experiences and perspectives, helping to build collaborative skills and teamwork between the supervises.
Group Supervision - Delivers the opportunity to learn from multiple perspectives and experiences while developing a network of colleagues, creating a more diverse and dynamic learning environment, and offering more opportunities for feedback and support.
